2010 sophomore album from Florida’s Have Gun, Will Travel plays like an homage to their Gulf Coast home town. Postcards From The Friendly City is contains a dozen songs that address timeless subjects – misplaced authority, love and loss, the struggle to survive, the desire for adventure – through old-fashioned storytelling and vivid, small-town imagery. The stories are told through catchy songs filled with rambling melodies and rustic musical textures including acoustic and lap steel guitars, banjo, stand-up bass, viola and percussion.
