David Arend: Astral Travels

On his eclectic Navona debut, the composer and double bassist David Arend explores several frontiers in a collection that features the Moravian Philharmonic and special guest tenor saxophone player Salim Washington. Straddling the idioms of new music, jazz and electro-acoustic music, Arends compositions similarly cover a rich sonic landscape informed with his multi-genre sensibilities.
